Congratulations to our Chairman Richard Kinzler Pegwell & District Association on receiving a Gold for the third year running in the Kent Wildlife Trust Wild about Gardens Awards.
Any garden can be wildlife friendly and provide those important stepping stones our wildlife needs to enable it to move around our increasingly busy county.
The Awards scheme celebrates the success of people and groups who are already gardening in a wildlife friendly way whilst at the same time providing encouragement and support for those just starting.
Entry forms for the 2016 Awards scheme are already available from Tyland Barn
Richard is pictured with Tom Hart Dyke who first shot to international prominence in 2000, when he was kidnapped in the Panamanian jungle on a plant hunting expedition that went dangerously wrong.
Tom is heir to Lullingstone Castle in Kent and is the 20th generation of the Hart Dykes to live at the Castle. The Castle was a favourite of Queen Anne and was visited by a young Henry VIII.
